AXIS F series

Discreet surveillance applications – from mobile to indoor to outdoor has found their elixir in the form of the AXIS F Series camera range. It offers high performance coupled with bolstered user-friendliness. They are suitable for a host of environments that require heightened surveillance e.g. ATMs, shops or stores, emergency vehicles, hotels etc.

The series has been created on a divided network camera concept. The range comprises of AXIS F41 and AXIS F44 Main Units and AXIS F Sensor Units – super smart surveillance. The AXIS F41 connects to one sensor unit and supports Wide Dynamic Range – Forensic Capture and one memory card slot. It delivers on a superlative level – creating provision for HDTV 1080p video at up to a lightening fast 50/60 frames per second. This is most efficient for capturing fast-moving objects and generating steadier and smoother footage.

Four sensor units, quad view and two memory card slots are supported by the AXIS F44. The processor, network, power and other connections are housed in the main unit.

The four available sensor units are as follows:

• standard AXIS F1005-E
• the fisheye AXIS F1035-E, both for indoor/outdoor use
• the varifocal AXIS F1015
• pinhole AXIS F1025 for indoor use

An AXIS F Sensor Unit consists of a lens and image sensor with a 3-m (10-ft.) or 12-m (39-ft.) cable. The small sensor unit can be installed discreetly as a result of the slick divided network camera concept.

Flexibility to place the main unit where there is space for it is enabled by the sensor unit’s long cable. Two-way audio, RS232 is supported by both AXIS F41 and AXIS F44 – this for the integration for integration of external data to the video, four input/output ports for connection to external equipment, and intelligent video applications.

It should be noted that most cameras experience a lot of trouble when it comes to articulating scenes that have dark and bright areas. However, the AXIS F41 Main Unit offers support for Wide Dynamic Range. The Forensic Capture creates provision for a significant amount of detail to be captured – regardless of the condition.
