Proximity And Contact Tracing Report By Gallagher Blog Header

According to the World Health Organization, “When systematically applied, contact tracing will break the chains of transmission of an infectious disease and is thus an essential public health tool for controlling infectious disease outbreaks.” With this in mind, Gallagher Security introduced a product called the Proximity and Contact Tracing Report, which generates reports highlighting contact history between one cardholder and others. In other words, it helps to identify all the cardholders who simultaneously shared space with a cardholder who has an infectious disease, such as COVID-19.

If someone who has tested positive for a virus, like the novel coronavirus, enters your property then you can use the report to confirm everyone who came into contact with that person and who may be at a higher risk of infection. The report can, therefore, be used to proactively trace down and notify those who have been exposed.

Details included in the Gallagher Proximity and Contact Tracing Report

The Gallagher Proximity and Contact Tracing Report is exported as a CSV file and can be viewed in Microsoft Excel or other similar programmes. The details on these reports can include:

  • Cardholders who were in the same areas as an infected person within specific date ranges (as mentioned above)
  • Cardholders who did not come into contact with someone with a health risk (to rule out any concerns about being exposed)
  • The infected person or cardholder’s information
  • The access areas where there was contact between an infected person and others
  • The level of contact between an infected person and others
  • The amount of contact or exposure time between an infected person and others
  • Arrival and departure times of infected cardholders
  • Doors accessed by the infected cardholders
  • The Command Centre Division of infected cardholders

Obviously, the accuracy of the report is dependent upon cardholders using their access cards to enter and leave an area, thereby ensuring their location is updated and recorded.
